Fake FAA Rampcheck Prank - part 1 of 2


Part one of two. Lindbergh Field San Diego 1994. Our aviation company hired a new helicopter flight instructor who moved out to CA for the job. We gave him a special initiation into the club. A very colorful pilot buddy from LA came down to visit and play FAA Inspector for few minutes. As the CFI was shutting down following a training flight, the "FAA" approached wearing a dark brown suit and carrying a clipboard. Time for some fun. We grabbed audio with a micro-cassette recorder in the FAA's pocket and video with a VHS shoulder-cam. Never mated the two for viewing pleasure until March 2009. Long overdue.
